Hosting is a group commitment or a property buyout, and it begins with a consultation rather than a single booking. Dining, transport, excursions, staffing and arrival support are priced for your group size, dates and selected services, and you receive a written proposal before anything is paid.

Look for a venue built for your number, not a resort that will tolerate it. For up to six guests plus a host you want one house, one kitchen and one teaching space you do not share. Then check the three things that break retreats: airport logistics, food and who is on site. We cover all three in the consultation.

The Pacific has more venues and more competition for your guests' attention. The Caribbean is quieter and culturally richer, Afro-Caribbean and Bribri, and its driest weeks, usually September and October, fall in the Pacific's wet season. If your retreat is about depth rather than nightlife, the Caribbean suits it.

The property sleeps up to seven: a recommended arrangement is up to six guests plus one host. Bedrooms are air-conditioned; the living, dining and kitchen spaces are open air.
